South African rapper and businesswoman Boity Thulo’s luxury Centurion property is reportedly under threat after alleged default on loan repayments totaling nearly R500,000

Award-winning South African rapper and entrepreneur Boity Thulo is facing the possibility of losing her upscale Centurion home amid reports of outstanding loan obligations, according to local media reports.

Multi-Million Rand Property Under Scrutiny

The luxury mansion, purchased by the media personality in 2021 for over R4.2 million, was financed through Leemark Financial Services. The property was officially registered under Boity’s name in March 2022, marking a significant addition to her real estate portfolio.

However, recent court documents have brought the property ownership into question following allegations of incomplete loan settlement.

Outstanding Balance Triggers Legal Action

According to Daily Sun, Leemark Financial Services has filed for judgment after the entertainer allegedly failed to settle the full loan amount. While Boity has reportedly paid R3.7 million toward the agreed sum, an outstanding balance exceeding R400,000 remains unpaid.

Court papers cited in the report place the exact outstanding figure at R491,813, prompting the financial institution to pursue legal remedies to recover the debt.

The development has thrust Boity’s financial affairs into the spotlight, raising questions about the future of the Centurion property.

Boity’s Property Investment Journey

This is not Boity’s first venture into property ownership. The multifaceted entrepreneur achieved a significant milestone in 2016 when she purchased her first home at just 26 years old.

At the time, she spoke candidly about the experience, describing homeownership as both thrilling and sobering.

“Ownership comes with a massive sense of responsibility and an understanding of what is important,” Boity reflected in 2016. “When you own something you treat it like a child … I have a better understanding of time, and things I shouldn’t waste my breath on, as it takes away from the things I should be focusing on.”

What Happens Next?

As legal proceedings progress, the outcome could result in Boity losing the Centurion mansion if the outstanding balance is not settled. The court’s decision will determine whether the property will be seized to recover the unpaid loan amount.

The situation highlights the financial pressures facing even successful entertainers and entrepreneurs, particularly regarding property financing and debt management.

Neither Boity Thulo nor her representatives have publicly commented on the allegations or the pending court action at the time of publication.

The case serves as a reminder of the complexities surrounding property ownership and the importance of meeting loan obligations to avoid potential foreclosure, regardless of one’s public profile or financial success.
