Shebeshxt’s mother Mpho Chauke is heartbroken by the death of her granddaughter who passed away in a car accident on Saturday night.
The rising singer, his girlfriend, 9-year-old daughter, and an unidentified passenger were in the Volkswagen Polo when it collided with a truck on the R37 Road next to Smelters Mine in Limpopo
Speaking to Sunday World in an interview, Mpho said Shebeshxt was traveling from Polokwane to Lebwakgomo to drop off Onthatile and the mother of his child at her home, then head to perform at an ANC rally.
Chauke said she is certain her son is aware of his daughter’s passing due to his conversation, as he mentioned only his girlfriend.
“When I heard him talking only about his girlfriend, I thought maybe he was not aware until yesterday when he mentioned to his friends that he was aware that his daughter is no more,” said Chauke.
Shebeshxt suffered a broken leg, an abdominal fracture, and head injuries; he’s receiving treatment and undergoing tests.

Department of Transport and Community Safety spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene has shared details of the accident on the R37 near the Smelters Mine outside Polokwane in Limpopo on Saturday night.
Controversial rap sensation Lehlogonolo “Shebeshxt” Chauke was involved in a car accident on his way to a gig at around 10 pm.
Chuene told TshisaLIVE the driver sustained serious injuries, a passenger sustained moderate to serious injuries and a nine-year-old passenger died at the scene.
“A Volkswagen Polo is reported to have overturned after colliding with a heavy motor vehicle, killing the young girl and seriously injuring the driver and another passenger. The cause of the accident is under investigation,” she said.
Chuene said the names of all those involved in the accident would be made public “once all due police processes are satisfied”.
“The department sends our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. “

“The doctors are still trying to figure out the extent of the injuries but he went to the theatre this morning. So we should know after that,” Mpho Chauke told Sunday World.
The Accident
The accident occurred while Shebeshxt was traveling from Polokwane to Lebowakgomo with his nine-year-old daughter, Onthatile Chuene, and his long-time partner, Kholofelo Chuene. Tragically, Onthatile Chuene died in the crash. The family was en route to drop off Kholofelo and Onthatile before Shebeshxt headed to perform at an ANC Siyanqoba Rally celebration concert in Lebowakgomo scheduled for Sunday, 9 June.
