Living with rats in our home or surroundings can become a real nightmare. In addition to being unhygienic animals, they can cause serious health problems.

If you are looking for a homemade and effective solution to get rid of these rodents, we present a method based on simple ingredients: peanuts, sugar, and a candle.

Rats are not only annoying, but they also carry diseases that can be dangerous to humans.

These rodents can transmit diseases such as leptospirosis, bubonic plague, hantavirus, and Lassa fever, to name just a few.

Their urine and feces also contaminate food and surfaces, increasing the risk of contracting these diseases. That is why it is crucial to keep our home free of rats.

How To Kill Rats In Your Home

Ingredients

  1. 2 tbsp. of Peanut
  2. 1 tbsp. of sugar
  3. 1 candle

Preparation

  1. Grind a piece of candle until you obtain a “powder.”
  2. In a separate bowl, grind the peanuts until they have a sandy consistency.
  3. Add the tablespoon of sugar to the ground peanuts and mix well.
  4. Add the piece of ground candle to the previous mixture and continue mixing until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  5. Once the mixture is obtained, place it in a container and place it near places where you have seen rats or where you suspect they may travel.

The combination of sugar and peanuts acts as a powerful attractant for these rodents, while the ground candle will be lethal for them.

Getting rid of rats is essential to maintaining a healthy environment in our home. With this homemade method, you can not only eliminate these annoying intruders, but you can also do it in an economical way and without the need to resort to chemicals that can be harmful to our health and that of our pets.

However, it is important to mention that this method, although effective, does not replace prevention and cleaning measures to avoid the appearance of rats.
